G. M. Kiste, not professor, but plain Al. Kiste, whom every old tinier from the Similkameen to the Methow knows, as he has been in the county since the first settlement of the country, was in town Tuesday from his ranch in the Similkameen valley on a business visit. Mr. Kiste is not so skittish as when we first knew him some twenty years ago, but he is holding out remarkably well, which can be at- : tributed to the virtues of Okanogan climate.
