Office of Town Clerk, Knox, Indiana, May 4, 1914. Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Trustees of the town of Knox, In diana, at the office of the town board of said town until two o'clock, p. m., on the 25th day of May, 194, at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and duly considered, for the construction of the fol lowing described improvement: Paving the alley running north and south between Main and Shields street and con necting Bender streets in the town of Knox, with vitrified or alley paving brick laid on sand foundation, as authorized by improve ment resolution No. —~, passed and adopt ed by the Board of Trustees on the Bth day of March, 1914. It is estimated that there will be 485 square yards of paying more or less. Said improvement shall be constructed and made in accordance with said resolu tion, and the maps, plats, plans, profiles and specifications for the same on file in the office of the town clerk of said town. Proposals must be made on blanks fur nished by the Board and in accordance with the instructions hereto attached, which blanks can be had on application to the town clerk, and must be accompanied by the usual statutory affidavit of non collusion, and by a certified check to be drawn on some known responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the order of the treasurer of the town of Knox, Indiana, for not less than one hundred dol lars, to insure the execution of the con tract for which such bid is made and that the successful contractor will give a bond and surety to be approved by the said board insuring the faithful performances of said work and compliance with all the terms and stipulations and conditions of this con tract. All bidders must deposit with said Board samples of material bid upon. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as authorized by law. By order of the Town Board, BE. A. You, and each of you, are hereby notified, that the undersigned have filed their sup plemental petition in the proceedings for drainage In the Starke circuit court by John Peterson, et al, and known as the Peterson ditch, and that it is alleged in said supplemental petition that you have lands that are affected by said original drainage. That the court made and enter ed an order establishing said drainage and assessed certain lands affected thereby, but that you have lands that are benefitted by said drainage that were not mentioned and described in the the original report of the viewers, and were not ordered as sessed for benefits in said proceedings, and that said supplemental petition asks that your lands may be assessed for benefits.
