Tuck Hill of McKinney is in receipt of a letter from the former “bad man,” Frank James, a brother of Jesse James. The letter was in response to one from Capt Hill, and is as follows: Kearney, Mo., Feb. 28, 1914, Capt. Tuck Hill, McKinney, Tex.My Dear Tuck:—Have just re reived your kir.d favor of the24th.As stak'd in my letter k Warren Welsh, if alive and well will be at Clarendon, Texas, on May h and 9, 1914. There Is no question about enjoying myself at the meeting. This gentleman, Mr. Sam Kirnberlin, must be a “Prince” from what everyone who knows him say. Am anxious to meet him, as also, all the others you mention in your j‘J list. If I know there would belli no one there except Kirnberlin, Tuck Hill, Tom Hill, Jno Pool, Harrison Trow,Him Whetsett,Allen Parmer, and John Kritzer, 1 would go. If all these I have mentioned are not there will In* sadly disappointed. I want you and Kirnberlin k see k) it, and urge ujxm them k) be there. This may be the last time we will be permitted k meet on this earth. Very nearly all of the men who belonged to your command are living on borrowed time. I was 71 on Jan 10th of present year. When I look back and set* tin* dangerous things that we contended against be tween opposing factions of North and South, I marvel that any of us are alive today. Thanks to a Supreme Kuler that I have been permitknl to live long enough to be able to say there is no preju dice in my heart against anyone.4 Having long since realized the fact that a man who is unwilling to forgive his fellowman destroys til hope of ever cross if} g the river Jordan in safety. “The Bible says when wo have ro|ented of our sins God buries them in the depth- of the sea, blots them out of the book of his remembrance, remembers them no more against us forever. We are k follow his examples. ”Yours sincerely,FRANK JAMKS.if*
