Haupt.Last evening at his residence. MS West Front street occurred the death | of P. H. Haupt. an old resident of this city. Mr. Haupt was born in Scliles-wig-Holsioin. at Helde, in 1820. He was united in marriage to Christine ; Martens in lS5i and twelve years after-j wards came to Davenport. Here be worked steadily until obliged to desist by reason, of partial blindness. He is j survived by bis wife and four children Gustave H., school superintendent ofDakota City. Nebraska; Margaretha Lorenz, the wife of John Lorenz the cigar manufacturer; Adolph H- a cigar maker at Sioux City, and EmmaSchroe-der. the wife of Max Schroeder.
