Judge Marr is well j known here, as it was ho who intcrxj ested himself in behalf of the White League prisoners from this parish who were arrested in ’74 and brought to New Orleans by the United States troops. Judge Marr afterwards visited this town and parish, the guest of General Alexandre Declouet, where be was serenaded by the people of this parjsh, and ten-dered a magnificent banquet.
