In August, lStfO, Dr. Jacob Weaver, an old and respected citizca of Lafayct e, died and xvas interred in Greenbusli Cemetery in an old-fa^h oned metallic ease. A few days ago, lacking only a little of twenty-years from the date o£,iriterment, the body whs exhumed for removal to Springdale, and Mr. Abernathy and William H. Levering removed the outside plate, and looke i to the condition of the corpse. Its perfect preservation was simply marvelous. The body and the clothing in which it was dressed were apparently as fresh as on the day of the funeral, even the luster of a black silk tic as bright as when new. The skin was of the natural hue, the features perfect, with no symptom of decay, and the body of the good doctor lay resting there as though he was only sleep ng. —----- -X1 ^1—- „
