Zanesville, at the first fall of the Muskingum, in the state of Ohio, was in the forest 12 years ago; it now contains 2,000 inhabitants, 20 merchants, 2 hanks, mechanics of almost every description, 10 taverns, 3 glass manufactories, one of very superior white flint, iron works, slitting and rolling mills, flour mills, e. lands it is said have risen in value from 3 to 60 dollars the acre; while town lots are selling at the enormous price of 600 to 1000 dollars each!Daily Advertiser.
