sisRotary Anns were honor guc at the ” dinner meeting of the Commerce Rotary club Friday night at the Progressive Center community house.Minister Clifton Laird, pastor of the Church of Christ, was speaker. Using Luke 2:52 as his theme, Mr. Laird brought to the attention of the group lht importance- of ever increasing in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and man 10 each person in a community.T. L. Mabry was program chairman aha ' presented the speaker.Ray Fullingtbn presided and welcomed the guests.The dinner was prepared and .served by members of the Progressive Center Lome Demonstration club. The tables were arranged in T-shape and decorations were in Rotary colors, blue and gold. Large arrangements of blue and gold iris centered the tables and trailing down the center was fluted crepe paper in the same colors.The menu—a smorgasbord Texas style with the Progressive. Center distinctiveness —included meats, salads, relishes, sandwiches and pies for which the women of that com muni iy havebee o in c fa m o u s. A p p r o x t m a to 1 y75 members and guests wen-present.Other than wives of members, guests included Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hogg and daughter Ruth from Dallas, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur West; Miss Marilyn McKeeman from Dallas, and Mrs. Bill Cotton from Fairiie. with the Rev. and Mrs. Lei and Spurrier; and Jack Davis, guest of Mr snci Mrs. Tommy McCormack.
