Robert Earl, an old citizen of Lafayette a few weeks ago was taken in by sharpers at Hot Springs, and uccouuts of the adventure published in home and foreign papers greatly annoyed him. On Ills return from the springs on Monday, he stopped off at West Lebanon, rather than meet his friends and next morning he was found dead in his bed. He was much respected and leaves a large fortune.
