I am reliably informed that all these Cheyennes are to be taken lo a new rescrratiou inside of two weeks, and ate to be henceforth under tko charge of ex-Cougrcstuian Shanks, of ludiuun. This new reservation, I understand, is in the vicinity of ihe section of country now occupied by the Modoc*. The bauds of Little Kobe, Whirlwind and White Shield will, at their option, remain where they now are, ot accompany the others.
