Pieces of historyBarbara Sherry Nicholson, left, and Irene York, right, recently presented Woodman Institute Museum trustee Thom Hindle with 1,383 photographs documenting the construction of the Garrison Hill Tower. Contained in five albums, these photographs taken by Nicholson recorded the daily events and the people that helped make the rebuilding of the tower a reality in September 1993. York led the many volunteers through the early fund-raising and the construe tion of the present Garrison Hill Tower Nicholson's great-grandfather John Main, was a commit tee member and alderman at the time of the original 1912 construction In January 1989, Nicholson’s mother donated the original blueprints to the museum The Woodman Institute Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:30 to 4:30 pm Call 742-1038 for information or to schedule a group tour
