Emerson, Man., May 5.—The meet ing of United Farmers called to con sider the question of nominating a candidate to contest this constituency at the elections this Summer in op position to J. D. Baskerville, M.L.A.., and the Norris Government, failed to come to a decision, many of those attending not being very strongly in favor of the proposition. Not much fault was found with either the Gov ernment or Mr. Baskerville. A com mittee was appointed to consider the matter of holding a farmers’ conven tion and authorized to call some if it is deemed advisable. T. W. Knowles was the chief spokesman at the meeting.
