Upon Dry creek, into which New-miD creek empties, are found ledges of coal which the miners use for thawing and cooking and beating. The same iatrue of the Nen»ua coal ledger farther to the west, along tbs foothills of the Alaskau range.It is said the Nenana coal ledges, tome of them forty five feet through, are all staked. There waa a considerable stampede there this wiuter, in order to get coal land.
