.Death.03?-P. G. Leslie.—We are, pained to learn of the death of Mr, P. G, Leslie, one of the editors and proprietors of the Pocahontas Standard. We have known Mr. Leslie from boyhood, having learned the printing business in the same office together, and can bear testimony to tis excellence and worth. He had but recently connected himself with the Standard as.one of its editors, aud in that ;short time its columns attested the genius of its new foilDd editor. As a private citizen, he was honest, upright, aud endeared himself to all with whom be came in contact; as a friend, devoted and true. The press of the state has lost one of its brightest ornaments, and society one of its ihost cherished members. We tender his bereaved family our heart-felt sympathy for the great loss they hate sustained.—Jacksonport Herald.
