We should like to see Mr.DE-tut weaned from some of his political heresies ; but such meu'are greatly needed in the party to which ho belongs, and wo rejoice to see an honest man appreciated wherever he may be found. ‘Mr. Depuy published a violent abolition journal in this city from 1846 to 1848. . He was a bitter opponent of the Mexican War, and hostile to the Democratic National and State Administrations.
