We would like for you to call a special meeting of your club members within the next week and present the following material. We hope they will want to join many of the activities. Be sure to mail the attached form back to headquarters within the next ten days so your group will be included. PROMENADE AND DRESS-UP DAY: Thursday, July 5, citizens of Honey Grove will observe the official old fashioned dress-up day, Promenade to begin at City Hall at 10:30 a.m. ROCKING CHAIR MARATHON: A unique event and something everyone can do. The Rock ing Chair Marathon will begin at 10:30 a.m., July 2, $15, 00 entry fee, 1st place winner receives $100, 00 and 2nd place winner receives $50, 00! HONEY GROVE PAGEANT: A two night program, July 2 and 3, A historical pageant of Honey Grove, Cast Needed! YOUTH DAY IN HONEY GROVE: Youth will become city officials July 3 and will be in office for one day, TASTING SPREE. July 3, Come on women! Show off your best cakes and pies. After cake and pies are judged, then they will be sold to help the final efforts of the Centennial. This event will be held at the school lunchroom at 3:00 p.m. BAR-B-CUE: An all day picnic at Crockett Park on July 4th beginning at 11:00 a.m. There will be games, @ Fiddler's Contest and many other events. Help Needed! TENNIS TOURNAMENT: July 4 at Crockett Park beginning at 9:00 a.m. Come on tennis players! INDUSTRIAL DAY: July 6, Honey Grove will recognize all of its industries. Businesses will display products on the square. There will also be a Flea Market, CENTENNIAL PARADE: July 7 = 2:00 p.m. Float prizes ~ 1st ~ $50, 00; 2nd $35,00; Srd $25, 00 Floats and people needed. STREET DANCE: Saturday July 7 after the Rodeo, Fun for all! Last night of the Centennial! BEARD CONTEST: July 6 at the Rodeo Arena during the Rodeo, Grow those beards men!
