Hal Harkey and Jamie Wil son ,two members of last year’s Javelin tennis team, have gain ed berths in the state meet May 5-6. They now attend Car rizo Springs High School where they are part of the district and regional championship team that brought home the team trophy in both meets In district play Hal won all three matches by the score of 6-0 Jamie and Jennie Jackson defeated the Pearsall team 6-4, 6-3. The seven games which they lost to this highly regard ed team were the only games they lost in the entire meet In regional play the outcome was as follows: boys’ singles- 1st round Harkey defeated J Koepke of Sharyland, 6-3, 64 (Koepke was last year’s region al champ); 2nd round Harkey defeated J. Dion of San Anto nio Cole 6-3, 6-0; finals Harkey defeated R. Bruce of Hebbron ville 6-4, 6-4 Girls’ doubles — 1st round Wilson and Jackson defeated Smolik and Pennemier of Boling 6-0, 6-0; 2nd round Wilson and Jackson defeated Shackley and Davenport of Canyon 6-2, 6-0 finals Wilson and Jackson de feated Pfief and Kline of Woodsboro 6-3, 6-0
