W. E. Foster, Ropesville, will give a demonstration on turning rock into a gem stone at the Tuesday meeting of the Lub bock .Gem and Mineral Society sat 7:30 p.m. in the Precinct 1 5012 W. 50th. St. He will demonstrate all steps in conversion of a rock into cabachon’. cut —by grinding, sanding and ‘polishing. A “ques tion and answer period will be held,and visitors and interested persons of the area are invited to attend. Eight members of the Lub bock club attended the, Golden ‘Spread Gem. and Mineral So ciety Show April 25-26 in Ama rillo and took on a field trip near the ‘Canadian River Dam, Sanford. Making the trip were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Van Biber, ‘Miss Bula Beard, A. W. Beard ‘Mr. and Mrs. W. He Womnack ‘and Mr. ~ and Mrs. Roscoe Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. ‘W. 6 Varde man and Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Davis made a recent trip to the Big Bend, and materials from the trip ill be on display at the Tuesday night meeting: —
