Two former Montpelier resi dents have leading roles in the forthcoming Boise Music Week production of Sigmund Rom berg’s “The Student Prince”. Gale Olpin starts at Kathy in the number one women’s part with her beautiful and interp retive soprano voice, and Roger Burgoyne, Boise Attorney, sings the part of Dr. Engel, the pro fessor who accompanies the Prince during his student days, in the head baritone part. Dale Olpin also appears in the pro duction as Lucas, one of the stu dents, and Charlotte Burgoyne participates as one of the wo men’s chorus. All four will be remembered locally for their singing in Lions Club shows and other community activities. An interesting item is that all ap peared together earlier in a show in Salt Lake City during their own student days. The production of a major musical show or light opera is the top feature in Boise of the annual National Music Week ob servance. The musical shows “Oklahoma” and “Damn Yank ees” have been produced in the past two years. Appearing as the Prince in the tenor lead is Clair Johnson, a friend of Mr. and Mrs . Bur goyne since college days in Lo gan. The production will run night ly for a week from May 8th through May 13th, in Boise.
