Two of them* Eben-eeser Albight and Wesley Strang, gave their Uve for the cause of Democracy.Today, Gurnee Is a thriving, fanning community. Well kept farms surround it on all sides. A factory of the Bowman Dairy Co. handles between thirty and forty thousand pounds of milk every day. There are also two well kept schools, a lodge hall, a church, two stores, a garage, a blacksmith shop and two Ice cream parlors. Gurnee is surely a thriving village.
