The remaitts were brought to PlQua this afteraoon accompanied by tbe widow and daughter, Mrs. Mary Clement, and Miss Frances Borden. The funeral services will be conducted at the St.James' church tomorrow Tuora-ing at 10 o'clock by Rer. Allison.While Capt. Nelson had been fail-5ng lately his death was unexpectedas he had been about the house up until the day of his death with Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Clement, the latter having been with him for several months past.Mrs. Helen fiuctin of Terre Haute and Mrs. Florence Gitniore of Ft. •Sr ell ing am red in tbe Mt.y yesterday to arrange for the funeral as Mrs. Nelson has been at Maumee ^or the past month.Captain Nelson was a well known citizen of Piqua and spent the great-jer part of hia life in this cit3*. He was born at Maumee Ohio, on May 23,IS33, and was sevent3-8ix years of age at his death. He was married to Miss Frances Edgerton at Ft.Wajme in lSf2. Re served tlirough-'out the Civil war and was a captain In the Twelfth Indiana when mustered out.For a time he was engaged in business at. Ft Wayne with his father-in-law and later came to Piqua, where^he was associatedw ith the late Edward R. Farrington. He was a ciember of the firm of Farrington, Slauson Nelson, warehousemen, atthe time of the dissolution of the partnership. About twelve years ago he romeved to Maumee to live witli hie aged sister, who died a few years ago.
