INDICTED FOR RAPE.irA1 Howard ot Hull Under Bonds oil a Serious Charge.Last Thursday Peter Van 1:1 or sen and wife came to Rock Galley to help celebrate the 75th anniversary of Odd Fellowship in this country atul left at home a grown daughter, who is half-witted, and a son to take care of her, and one in the field at work. A. T. Howard came to the Van Horsen homestead witji a horse which he stands on th day of the week there. The son the field at work asked Howard as he was passing to bring him some water. When Howard got to the house he told the young boy he would stay at the house and take care of his sister if he would take his brother some water.After the boy left the house with the water Howard deliberately debauched the girl. When the brother returned she told him what Howard had done and he came to Rock Valley and' informed his father wliat had happened. Mr. Vaii Horsen had A. 1. Howard arrested on the charge of rape and he was taken to Orange City and given a preliminary examination and is now under $2,000 bonds for his appearance at the next term of court.Iatlbbe(scIit♦HI
