The .sceno presented was one of peculiar interest when Irving Hayner, president of the parish union, arose and in a few excellently chosen words extended to Mr! Taylor the pledge of support and assurance of regard. He hoped that !oye,0 confidence, respect and charity for j alt shortcomings would be mutually borne. Mr.. Taylor responded feelingly, and said that as a minister of Christ he would do all in his power to promote the welfare and well-being of his people. The Rev. Dr, Baldwin spoke in words of encouragement to the new pastor. Any One, he said,- who professed to be a minister of the'Lord Jesus Christ was his brother and his friend. All present were formally presented to Mr. Taylor, his wife and. dau-, by Messrs. Darling and Buffington, g the evening the Tocsam dub sang in excellent manner a number of spice and choruses from the “Mascot.” The room was beautifully decorated with flags, and the word J‘Welcome,” in handsome design hung in a conspicuous placg.
