HORRID AFFAIR.The Charlestown Iridianian furnishes the following particulars of the horrid transaction which took place in Clark county on Monday the first inst.. | “For some time there had existed be-ijlvveen Benjamin F. Butts and his wife, difficulties which ended in their separation. They were again living together— Wite^new difficulties grew up, or tho old ones renewed—he beiieved she was al-j^him and other members'i'her, artdtrtmicted several severe wounds •'upon her person with a razor, when her J cries brought an individual who interferedr:nnd prevented him from putting his de-jn 1 sign into execution. He then attempted : to cut his own throat, but the razor was:g knocked out of his hand. lie immediately obtained another, and before he could be seized or the instrument wres-! ted from his hand, he succeeded in cutting u| j his throat, and died in a few minutes. Mr. joJ Butts has been a citizen of the county fof’m several years. His wife is represented as being a desperate woman, and-roport says has had 8 or 9 husbands.octo
