Graham, who lives on his farm on the Reaves Ferry riad near Reaves Ferry, were consumed by flames last Thursday. Most of the furniture and bed clothing were saved from the burning buildings, but the family were left without shoes and other articles of clothing that are very much needed. The flames awakened the family about 12 o’clock at night and they had gained such headway that nothing could be done to stop them. The cause of tbe fire is entirely unknown, but it is supposed that a srmrk must have caught from the kitcmfifstove.Mr. Graham had just completed the erection of a new barn and in this the famiiv are now living, until another dwelling can be erected. Friends of the unfortunate* family were raising contributions last week to help them out of their trouble.It is a heavy blow to any farmer to lose his dwelling, especially at this time of the year, and the people in this case, should contribute enough to help Mr. Graham replace his loss. The Herald has undertaken to receive and transmit to Mr. Graham any amount its subscribers over the county are willing to give, and contributions of money or even building material may be left k Conway for him or handed to him personally.
