Many years ago Mrs Fisher joined the Disciple church at Fort Hill, remaining ^member there until she moved to Volo, when she took a letter to the Methodist church at that place ault;^ afterwards to the Congregational church at Grays-lake. She was a Christian of undaunted courage and great fortitude. Although at times her sufferings were intense, yet she never complained and bore it all with heorio endurance. She chose the text from which her funeral sermon was to be preached, picked out the hymns, bade farewell to her loved ones and then prayed that she might be called from above. She was conscious almost to the last. Such an example of loyalty to her Christian faith Is hard to find and a good one to follow. She was laid to rest beside the husband in Grant Cemetery, Rev. Stevens officiating at the obsequies. She leaves lour children as follows: Mrs. Alcena Baldwin,Gruyslake: Ira Fisher, South Dakota; Homer Fisher, Waucoudu and Mrs. Abble flinz, Grayslake. There are also twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
