At the age of seven sheaccompanied her parents to the fruitful and rolling prairies of northern Illinois, settling iu the town of Wau-conda. She lived much of the time until her marriage iu Richmond. In 1*52 Miss Sarah Parker was united to Mr. Joseph Fisher, the young couple founding a home on a farm near where her parents lived. This union was blessed with six children, two of whom preceded the mother to the better land. After in years of married life, tue husbaud was called away, leaving the still youthful widow to light life's battle aloue and unprotected, save by the comfort and help of her children, the youngest of whom was but 2 years old. Bravely and well did she rear her little flock to grow up aud to be useful aud honored members of society. When her youngest child Mrs. Hinz, was married and went to Volo to live, the mother went with her and remained with her while she lived, and during all those 15 years, mother and daughter were not seperated for any length of time. The farmer's wants and needs were always gladly administered to by the daughter.
