or Clark is on the money. As controversial as I know this letter will be, I am convinced that it is by inaction that our country will suffer. Mr. Clark knew this too when he stated that Paul Martin may be a better leader than Stephen Harper. But he said it anyway because it needed to be said. There are many things that are scary about the new Conservative leader and his agenda. I want to say that I did and will support Merv Tweed in his bid to represent our constituency. I believe he is the best man for the job. However, I am fightened with the “hidden agenda” of Mr. Harper, as described by Mr. Clark. We have only to look at his number one advisor, Prof. Tom Flanagan, to see how extreme Mr. Harper will be if he ever gets elected to 24 Sussex. I guess I am writing this letter because I am appalled at the bashing Mr. Clark is taking in the press by his former colleagues. Joe Clark is one of the brightest and best who has ever served his country. And I am sure that is how he views it as well — “serving” his country. So, I will say, thank you, Joe, for once again, standing up for your con victions and doing what is right. WILL GOODON Brandon
