Ivy Track, Golf, Tennis Meets May 4-5Wesleyan will send three teams to the Ivy League at Peoria Friday and Saturday in an effort to snatch some glory for the Titan track, tennis, and golf men.Up to the time of this writing very little work has been done by Muhl’s tennis men other than getting the courts into shape for practice. After a chance to survey the field Coach Muhl, will pick his men for the trip. The intramural tennis program is affording plenty of competition and practice from which will probably emerge the ’45 Wesleyan racketmen.Mr. Muhl is also coaching the golf team. He is fortunate in having two experienced boys to work with. Hank Bennett of Thornton and Clix Vyncke who hails from East Moline have had experience galore. Tank’s dad is the manager of a course near Chicago and Hank learned the better points of the game there, while on the other hand Clix’ polished swinging took him to the state high school tournament last year.Mel Brewer will handle the other Wesleyan representatives namely the boys on the track team. This; will be the final meet of the year and will give the Titans a chance to get revenge as they will be running against some of the same teams that they met previously this season.
