The three meeting# mentioned nbove will convene ot Alcova church the lMt of thia month.All are important and will be of widespread interest. The committee on program furnishes the Courier with the following statement and outline of the labors of these meeting:The first district of the Appa-lachee Association will convene with the Alcova Baptist church May 29, 80 and 81st. The General Meeting will meet on Friday, the Ministers’ and Deacons’ Meeting on Saturday and the Sunday School Convention on Sunday. Railroad stations, Mtnfoe andWWWSad Effects ofaThe other day Mr. D. W. McGregor and his son, Ernest, went up into Dr. Ryder’s office to collect a bill or note. It seems that the amonnt was over due and the time for collection at band, and they that they went up there to have a settlement, as Dr. Ryder had told them the day before to call the next day, and getting there and presenting the bill Dr. Ryder order them out, and upon their refusing to go, Dr. Constan-etine rushed in and struck Ernest over the eye, from which wound the blood commenced to flow and it took the physician several hours to get it stopped. Whereupon warrants were issued for Drs. Ryder and Constantine for assault and battery.We asked Dr. Constantins for his side of the trouble, and he says: That he was in his room at work when he heard considerable noise; that he heard Dr.*Ryder tell some parties that his wife was critically ill, and that he would be compelled to leave right then with the physician, and that he would discuss the matter another time, but that the parties kept up a continual noiBe and fuss andrefused to go. The he went in and advised them to go, os the noise was getting boisterous he intended to bring matters to a close. Dr.Social Circle.
