Mr. and Mrs. Ben Harrel son of Santa Monica, Calif., are spending several weeks in this area visiting with friends and taking care of business interests en route home from a winter vacation in Arizona. They are at Oak Hall in Kan sas City. Mrs. Harrelson will be remembered as Miss Rose Mary Flournoy, member of a pioneer Jackson County fam- Miss Linda Bennett, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bennett, 11601 E. 35th, re ceived a I rating in voice for the second straight year at the state music festival at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She has also been chosen to sing May 18 at the Ray town High School Bac calaureate services. Mrs. Charles Holland and Mrs. Jerry Seidel were host esses for the April 22 Wel come Wagon bridge party at the Burning Tree apartments party room, 3433 S. Noland Road. High scorers were Mrs. Charles Ison, Mrs. Merlin Nel son, and Mrs. Richard Jones. A bake sale May 10 at the C J United Super will be a fund-raising project for the Fireighters Ladies’ Auxiliary. Mrs. Max Brown, finance chairman, recently announc ed the project to members at the home of Mrs. Michael Callahan, 17011 Dover Lane. Mrs. Don Rogers, 1236 N. Broadway, will be hostess May 20 to the group.
