QUITMAN, May 1 (AP)—Murder charges have been filed against Don Black, about 47, in the deaths of his 31-year-old wife and a sawmill op erator. Jack Gillian, 49, died last night in a Fittsburgh, Tex., hospital of in juries from a shotgun wound. Mrs. Don Black had died instantly after a shooting near here. Wood County Attorney Murray Harris said he had filed murder charges against Black. Black is held in the Quitman fall. The shooting occurred at Gillum’s sawmill in the Scroggins commun ity between Winnesboro and Pitts burgh, just inside the Wood coun ty line. All three were from Scroggins. Mrs. Clarence Barnett, acting Wood county sheriff, said the wom an and one of the men drove to the sawmill and an argument develop ed. She said an investigation of the shooting would continue today.
