Alumnae of St Joseph's’ nurses school entertained with a luncheon [honoring the graduates Wednesday afternoon at Hotel Adams. Erma Moseley entertained with a reading and Mrs. Frank Simpson provided a musical background for the affair. Alumnae present were Pauline Metter, Alma Pew, Clara Mangino, Mary Foster, Helen Ashton, Hazel Sheets, Bobbie Hill, Garner Joinery, Angel Woolsey, Alice Luther, Misses Ann Grosso, Ann Turner and Sarah Bernard. Honorees were Misses Delores Bardo, Nora O'Brien, Patricia Johnson, Winifred Thomas, Sarah Nelson, Adeline Policy, Stella Silva, Mary Dorris, Anna Cowan, Elsie Malloy, Margaret Graham, Carolyn Gerecke, Elizabeth Burrus, Ruth Klatt, Patricia Kelly, Ruth Rovey, Lenore Mullins, Dapane Morris, Elizabeth Mullen, Alice Lopez, Katherine Powell, Dorothy Corbitt, Olita Carter, Juanita Foster, Juliana Johnson, Gloria Gaxiola, Nan George and Jarorie Redden. Never use soap on fruit stains as it is likely to set them. Soak the Stained part in cold water and then pour a stream of boiling water through the stain, from a kettle held three feet above. When nuts are fat into con serves or butters, add them during the last five minutes of the cook ing Period. Long cooking of nuts often discolors them and brings out strong flavors.
