An interesting and instructive recreation is offered to students in the new handcraft studio. This is situated in two of the rooms in the southeast corner of the basement of Euthenics building and is in charge of Miss Bessie Scott. Miss Scott is the sister of the artist, Mr. James Scott, of the Elverhoj Art Colony, and was trained there as well as at Columbia and at the Bloom-ingdale Hospital for Art Work, She is equipped to teach leather work, bookbinding, jewelry and woodwork, but she is especially interested in textile arts,—dyeing, weaving and block-printing.
