At the Winona meet of the high 1 schools of the northern, portion of the state, Greenville sent five repre- ■ sen tat Ives with Mr. .J. H. McClain* Miss Stella Solomon stood for Latin, Miss Lucy Crouch for music, Miss Melba Benjamin for English, Herman Solomon for geometry, and Miss Mary Saunders for expression. The questions were prepared- by heads* of the departments at the: university, nnd the judges were selected from the faculty of MUlsaps*. There were ten high schools represented. Miss Benjamin was awarded first honors, and Mr. and Miss Solomon were second in their respective contests.
