WAS FEARFULLY SLASHED FROM EAR TO EAR OVER CRAP GAME ROW SATURDAY NIGHT. At 2:30 this afternoon, Gene Glenn, the negro who was cut with a pen knife across the throat, from ear to ear, almost, is still alive with his con dition not improved. The wounded man came all the way to the station Saturday night from Smoky Row with one hand gripping the gaping wound together, blood streaming, growing weaker every second until the anbulance hurried him to the hospital and aid. The fight was over a ten cent piece when Charley Day flashed a pen knife and did the work in the artistic way these colored gamesters have with a blade weapon. Mathier picked up the negro who did the cutting within a few minutes after the report was turned in to the department. It looks as though the case may develop into a murder charge as Glenn is in a pre carious condition.
