President of class ; “Arbor Day of ’85”—J. D. Hunter ; Music—Quartette entitled “Woodland’s Call ;”“Class of ’89”—J. S. Weller; Music—Class Song. The address was very patriotic and eloquent, and often interrupted by great applause. The place where the Sophomore trees are planted, and their characteristic arrangement, symbolizing the Roman notation of ’89, are highly appreciated by the class.
