He brings im-portant news in reference to the new gold diggings. The party which left some weeks since to prospect, had returned to Genoa, having found gold fields upon the south-fork of Walker's river that prospected from ten to twenty cents to each pan of dirt. The same company had gone hack, taking their families and furniture with them. Thompson says one-third of the people of Carson Valley had left, or were making their arrangements to go. The new discoveries cover a large tract of country.— Thompson remarks that Major Ormsby will vouch for the truth of his statements, he being now on his way over, bringing what gold the prospecting party obtained. There is no other news of importance.— Telegraph to the Sacramento Union.to* teideep imple the f: crn£l Then was « mine was i affon The lt;day, while unus lava An not p ologinmisnundecleai dial Iassirof i« lava. arisi
