Sixth District clubs“Cooperation, Achievement and Friendship” is the theme of the annual meeting and installation of officers of the Sicth District of the Illinois Federation of Women’s Clubs, beginning with registration at 9: 30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Oak Park Arms Hotel, 408 S. Oak Park, when Mrs. Kenneth Schomig will preside. Annual reports will be read by the chairmen following the pledge of allegiance, assembly singing, devotions and greetings.(LIFE Photo)Following the luncheon, scheduled for noon, the afternoon session will begin at 1 p.m. when the presentation of awards will be made by district chairmen who include Mrs. Robert Bezek, of the North Riverside Woman’s Club, district chairman of arts, crafts and sewing; and Mrs. Jerry Kavina, of the North Riverside Woman’s Club, District first vice president.Mrs. Robert Seida, former Sixth District president, will install the new officers, after which Mrs. Carl Mikolite, second vice president and program chairman, will present Jimmy Downs with his program, “Down Memory Lane.”
