Joseph Doran, $5, of Peru, be come resident manager and part owner of the Chase-Miller funeral home Friday, after he and two brothers in-law purchased the business from Merrill Miller, 1102 E. Broadway, Doran, who was employed by Miller several years ago, Has as his partners George H. Eixen berry, of Peru, and Richard Eikenberry of Delphi, both opera tors of funeral homes in their re spective cities. DORAN, MARRIED and the father of three children, will move to Logansport as soon as he finds a place to live. Miller, who sang in the Chase Boy Chair, has been a part of the business since singing with the choir. He helped the business move into its present location, became a part time employee in 198, a full time employee in 1926 and a junior partner in 1931. In 1946 he became a full fledged partner and his name was as sociated with the busines. He took over the business when Charles Chase died in 1939. DORAN SAID Friday most of the present staff will be retained, and the name will be Chase Mil ler Chapel. Miller has no plans for the future except that he will remain in Logansport and take care of other business interests.
