WEDDINGRUSSELLr-MASON.On Saturday, March 10, the Methodist Church at Tempe Park was beautifully decorated with flowers and palms for the marriage of Miss Mercie Mason, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Mason, of Leslie Street, St. Peters, to Albert, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Russell, of Rockdale. The Rev. G. Ingram Pearson officiated. The bride was given away by her father. The bridesmaids were Miss Joyce Hyde and Miss Muriel Mason (sister of the bride). Wee Beryl Jeffree acted as flower girl. Mr. Alf. Mason (brother of the bride) acted as best man, and Mr. C. Russell (brother of the bridegroom) as groomsman. During the signing of the register Mrs. A. Kyle sang “My Prayer.” The Comrades, dressed in white and wearing regalia, formed a guard of honour for the bride, as she left the church. Miss Mason has been associated with Tempe Park Church since childhood, where her unflagging zeal as kindergarten superintendent, vice-director of the Comrades, and worker for the church interests generally, have rendered her invaluable.
