INDIANA EXHIBITORS PUTBAX ON ( LARA HAMOX FILMClara Smith Hamon, recently acquitted of the murder of Jake Hamon, Oklahoma millionaire and politician, and who signed a $50,000 a year contract with a moving picture producer to make a series of films supposed to picture her life story, will not be seen in any theater In Indiana if the State Exhibtor’s Association has its way. Action was taken by the association to prevent showing of any film in which Clara Smith Ilamon is billed to appear, and a telegram was sent to Sidney S. Cohen, president of the Motion Picture Theater Owners of America, announcing the action' taken. G. G. Schmidt, president of the association told Cohen in the telegram that the Indiana exhibitors are protected by law against such pictures, and would enforce the law if it became necessary.
