Alfred Josiafaj Green, 18, Folfiestone-road Edmonton, stated that he found the body at about 10,30 a.m. on Monday, about 8 yards on the Tottenham side of the Chalk Bridge Witness got him ashore and found he was quite dead.P.c. 253k, William Shears, stated that a 10.55 a.m. on Monday he was called by th last witness to Ihe Lea, where he saw th body of deceased. He called Dr. Wain wright who pronounced life extinct, an witness conveyed the body bo the Tottenba Mortuary. All be found upon the body was 5d. in bronze and a box of matches.The jury returned a verdict of “ Found drowned.”
