Rainbow Child Care is now accepting registration for its summer programs, offered for both pre-school and elementary age children. For preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, Rainbow offers both a morning and a full day, day camp program. In the morning program, children arrive between 7:30 and 9 a.m. and depart at 11:30 a.m. In a full day program, children can arrive between 7:20 and 9 a.m. and depart between 3 and 5:30 p.m. Preschool programs offer early childhood education skills such as number concepts, letters and phonetics. Also offered are field trips, outside play, swimming in wading pools and arts and crafts. Elementary children between 6 and 8 may enjoy ar full day, day camp program. The program offers fun learning concepts such as math, reading, and science. Also offered are arts and crafts activities, field trips and swimming in wading pools. State licensed schools are located at 500 Primos Avenue, Falcroft, and 3515 Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven. Little Miss MacDade Contest The MacDade Mall Merchants Association presents the “Event of the Decade,” the Little Miss MacDade contest for 1986, with special guest host and master of ceremonies, Chief Half-Town. Any child between 4 and 8 years old may enter. To enter, send a non-returnable color photo of your child, and on an index card, print the child’s name, address, age, phone number and adult sponsor’s name, to “Little Miss MacDade,” MacDade Mall, MacDade Boulevard and South Avenue, Holmes, Pa. 19043. Deadline for all entries is March 31. The official crowning will take place at the MacDade Mall Center Court, 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5. Photographs will be placed on display at the MacDade Mall. Twenty finalists will be selected from the photos and judges will select “Little Miss MacDade” and three runners-up. Selection will be based on personality, poise and charm. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to all finalists from the MacDade Mall Merchants Association. Special prizes will be awarded to the three runners-up and to “Little Miss MacDade.” Darby Little League plans parade Darby Little League hold its annual parade on April 19. The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. from Main and Water Streets to the Park Lane fields. Come out and support our children. Tom Blair is the parade chairman. The baseball and softball seasons start on Monday, April 21. Parkside Seniors elect officers PARKSIDE — Parkside Senior Center elected Officers for the year. The include — President, Marguerite Delaney; first vice president, Charles Rostron; second vice president, Joseph Jaworsky; secretary, Blanche Vickers; treasurer, Ida Steele; and assistant treasurer, Alice Ingram. Installation of Officers will be Thursday, April 3, when a covered dish luncheon is planned. Day trips are in the planning stage.
