BURLEY, Idaho — Four Nam pa Future Farmers of America youths received their State Farmer awards at the state-wide FFA convention here. The awards were presented at ceremonies Friday. The four are: Herbert Fuller ton, ee chapter president; Ronald Ellis, chapter secretary; Harmon Tobler, chapter vice president, and George Covert, a chapter committee head. They are among 64 in the state to re ceive this honor. They are part of the group of FFA members from here, headed by Seth Forsgren, FFA adviser, who are attending the conven tion. AmONG OTHER youths from this part of the Gem State re ceiving awards was a Weiser high school junior, who received the 1957 Star State Farmer award. The name of Gene Nesbitt was announced Friday morning at a special recognition session of the Idaho Future Farmers of Ameri ca’s 26th annual convention. He was picked from a group of 64 who earlier had been awarded State Farmer degrees. Young Nesbitt was cited for his farming program, which includes his two-thirds interest in a 40- acre farm, a herd of 18 dairy cows with one-fourth interest and 60 head of swine. His crops include small grain, pasture and alfalfa hay.
