rHarlemites Win Over Gallopers; Electrics LoseAbe Saperstein’s Harlem Globe Trotters out-scored the Galloping Gophers 46 to 39 in the feature game of a doubleheader played at the armory Friday night before a capacity crowd of fans from far and wide. The Franklin Independents won the championship of Redwood and Renville counties when they eked out a 19 to 16 win in an overtime battle over the Redwood county champion Modern Electric five.Bums led the Harlem scoring with 21 points, ten field goals and a free shot. His teammate Strong garnered 13 and Anderson 12. George Faust led the Gophers with 12 points and Gordon Spear followed with 10, practically all from long range. De Lambert also scored 10 markers.The Redwood county champions led the first three quarters and most of the last stanza. Franklin came from behind in the final minutes to tie the count at 16 when Nierengarten was fouled and made good his gift throw. The Renville champs sank another free throw and O’Hara won with a field goal in the overtime.
