ME. BERRIEN BROWN DEAD.Mr. B. H. Brown, aged 82 years, diedVa:IT lt;tEat,iEfat tho home, 011 Barks street, Monday at 1.20 a. m. His going deprives {he city and community of one of its best and most highly respected men.Mr. Brown was, born and rearod inthis county, living hero until ho reached young manhood, when ho enlistod in the cause of the Confederacy and saw four years of gallant service for this cause. Upon returning he sottlod in Forsyth county as a farmer, and' there spout tho larger remaining part of his life, with the exception of short periods when he lived in other sections. His last rosidonco hero was about one year in duration. Mr. Brown served an unexpired term us Representative from Forsyth county; and alos a full term, and he also served one term as Htato Senator from the 39th district. Ho was a charter membor of Pleasant Grove Baptist church, and also served a long time us a deacon in this church. He was loved and respected wherever he was known.The funeral was held from tho First Baptist church hero yesterday morning at 10 9'clock, conducted by Rev. ft. U. Hawkins, and interment was in Alta Vista cemetery. 11Mr. Brown was twice married, his tl first wife preceding him to the grave v a long number of years. He is survived a by his second wife; four children by p tho first union, Kev. C. T._ Brown of v Cumming, Kov. Geo. R. Brown of Cler- c mont, Mrs. T. H. Robertson and Mr. Walluco Brown of this city, and three children by the second union, Mr. Harry Brown of Atlanta, Mr. Carol Brown of ■ this city and Miss Fay Brown of Miami, Fla. One half-brother, Mr. M. C. Brown of this city, also survives him.
