Mobilizing State TroopsCol. Edelblute Issues Orders to Companies.—Many Recruits Are Wanted.All llie infantry organizations o! the national guard in the northwest as well as other parts of the country- were ordered mobilized early this week. On Monday Col. W. FI. Edclblulc of Kaihdium, commander ol the Second Infantry N. (i. 1 , reported by wire to the commanding general of the western department at San Francisco, and on Tuesday received telegraphic instructions to issueorders for the immediate mobilization of all the companies in the state and to begin recruiting them to war strength.• In his order Colonel Edelblute instructs the company commanders to hold the companies at the home places of rendezvous until orders from him for further movements. Instructions are also given to make preliminary arrangements to entrain (or the mobilization camp at Boise when orders to do so are issued. Company commanders are ordered to report to the colonel by wire daily the strength ol their organizations.Men are out soliciting recruits for the organizations, whicli include Company A of Sandpoint and C of Cu ur d'Alene. Recruits from Rathdrum and vicinity may be assigned to cither of these companies.On Tuesday five recruits signed for service in Company C.Hal Shadduck has bcch named recruiting officer for northern Idaho and left for Wallace Tuesday.The government is calling for 20,000 recruits to raise the strength of the regular naval forces to 87,000 men, and of the marine corps to 17,000 men. In addition to these it is believed the naval militia will he used to help man the ships of the navy.According to Secretary of War | Baker, the Idaho troops arc called• out for duly for the lime being of 1 protecting traffic, means of communication and transfer of mails within the state. The department has called out 32 national guard regiments.
