CONTEST PRONOUNCED MOST SUCCESSFUL IN HISTORY OF THE STAKEBest of Order and Good Will Prevailed ThroughoutLast Saturday, March 24, witnessed one of the most successful and orderly contests ever conducted by the Snowflake Stake Mutual ImprovementAssociation, at least since the institution of contest work in the organization.The contestants from the various Wards, and the places taken in the different events, were as follows:Junior piano solo: Rulon Brim-hall took first for Taylor, Leora Peterson second for Snowflake, and Miss Hansen third for Lakeside.Junior girls’ chrous: Snowflake first, and Taylor second.Memorized reading: LucilePerkins first for Taylor, Josephine Smith second for Snowflake, and Nellie Tanner third for St. Joseph.Baritone solo: Junius Hansen first for Lakeside, Q. Tenney second for Taylor, and Walter Shelley third for Snowflake.100 yard dash: Chas. Turley and Frank Gardner took first and second for Woodruff, and P. H. Roberts third for Snowflake.880 yard run: Jesse Decker, Robt. Freeman and Mel Willis took first, second and third for Snowflake.220 yard dash: Chas. Turleyfirst for Woodruff, P. H. Roberts second for Snowflake, and Tanner of St. Joseph third.High hurdles: Frank Gardner of Woodruff first, Frank Willis second for Snowflake. (Woolsey of Snowflake finished first but was ruled out on a foul.)Low hurdles: Frank Willis and Parley Woolsey of Snowflake first and second.Mile run: Curtis Bushman of St. Joseph first, Reg. Flake and Henry Smith second and third for Snowflake.440 yard run: Edwin Decker and Albert Lionbarger of Snowflake first and second, George Brimhall third for Taylor. (Junius Hansen of Lakeside finished second but was ruled out on foul.)Tennis: G. L. Haynes and J.
