Another letter has come to hand this week from Albert Horst, of the 9th C.M.R. band who is now on du ty in France. He states that he met Eric Bowen-Smith one day in France and that he is looking fine and feeling fit. Eric Smith went with the first Canadian Contingent to France and has seen much hard fighting but has escaped with two minor wounds, which did not nec essitate his absence from duty for any great length of time. Albert Horst seems to like the life, but states that the weather at the pres ent time is very disagreeable and that he has suffered severely from a bad cold.
